Dear Beate,
Good choice of topic and interesting video and audio clip. The problem is that it is a quite difficult podcast. You would have to devise more supportive tasks in order to help your students understand the podcast. You would have to activate their pre-knowledge (also introduce language) before listening to it. As well, while reading you should use support tasks such as right/wrong sentences or other tasks. You might also think about shortening the podcast as it is rather long. Instead of just asking them what else they would try to change you could (if you have time) make a real project in which students develop a line of action for the protection of another animal/ or whatever.
